The camera does not do justice to the way this bur oak towers over a neighbour’s backyard. What it does accurately depict is how the “bones” of a tree are more visible in winter. This bur oak is a beauty–one of 24 distinctive trees that thrive in Champlain Park.
Steph Willems of Ottawa West News has captured the essence of how people and trees connected with each other at our Dec. 21 event. Bravo to the Cowley family descendants for attending!
